Recycled and pressed upholstery fabric

These upholstery fabrics are collected locally in Denmark, combined, and compressed under high pressure. The heat and pressure released during this process transform the soft fabrics into a hard board with a base and top layer. It is so durable that you are guaranteed a tabletop that will not warp and is resistant to scratches. This material is used for the Rex tabletops. Available in various colors and sizes.

A groundbreaking alternative Our Textile Tabletop™ is a circular, high-performance solution. Made from end-of-life recycled textile scraps, Textile Tabletop™ is a decorative and high-quality alternative to conventional materials. In 2025, we reduced the carbon footprint of our Textile Tabletop™ from 13.3 kg/m² to 9.4 kg CO2. This represents an estimated 30% reduction in CO2-equivalent emissions compared to a conventional tabletop, measured over the entire life cycle – from raw material extraction to a finished tabletop ready for assembly.

Rex can be made with two circular tabletops, 12 or 18 millimeters thick. The 12-millimeter tabletop consists of layers of wood fibers compressed under high pressure to create a hard board. For the 18-millimeter tabletop, old T-shirts and upholstery fabrics are compressed until they form a compact tabletop with a sturdy base and top layer.
